Burton Albion Continue To Perform At St George's Park

Wed 8th Jul 2015 | Football Club Management

Burton Albion and Perform at St. George’s Park have this week renewed their partnership agreement following a successful 2014/15 campaign.

The newly promoted Sky Bet League 1 side will be utilising the state of the art facilities at Perform’s National Football Centre base in Burton.

Perform, the official healthcare provider for St. George’s Park, will continue their recovery specific research programme as part of the deal with The Brewers. They have been working on research projects together throughout the season which include player testing and recovery techniques.

The FIFA F-Marc accredited medical centre, which is open to the public throughout the year, will continue to be used by the Burton Albion first team and their medical staff to help aid with rehabilitation of injured players.

Phil Horton, Perform Director, commented; “We are delighted to renew our partnership agreement with our closest Football League side and look forward to our continued work with the medical team at Burton Albion.

“After a great success in securing promotion in to League One, I am looking forward to the development of our research programme which focuses on recovery techniques and hope to have some industry leading results to share on the back of it.”

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, the Burton Albion Manager, commented; “The training facilities at St. George’s Park and our association with Perform combine to give us the best training base in the country.

“We are very fortunate to have these outstanding facilities on our doorstep and we look forward to working with Perform for many years to come.”
