TopTix Sport review a successful first seasonís ticketing partnership with Derby County Football Club

TopTix Sport was delighted to be selected as Derby County Football Club’s official ticketing supplier back in April 2014. Following the completion of the first season, it is clear the TopTix SRO4 Ticketing and customer profiling suite of software has delivered real benefits to the club inside the first year of the partnership.

The club play at the 33,000 all seated iPro Stadium and selected TopTix Sport after a detailed tender review process during the early part of 2014. TopTix’s SRO4 software is now being used to manage ticketing, corporate and customer profiling activity from one central database which includes a powerful reports engine and a new on-line ticketing solution which works hand in hand with the club’s main websites.

SRO4 delivers a powerful rules engine that has transformed the way in which we set up events in the system and manage sales periods to determine who can buy when, and via which sales channel such as Ticket Office and the website. Our full programme of home league games can be set up and configured at the beginning of the season with relevant pricing, promotions and when fans can buy all configured to automatically apply across the calendar via ticketing office and on-line. That means we can be much more effective with our planning across the season‘.

‘Our staff are enjoying the user friendly interface that delivers a single basket approach to the sales inventory which means all of the sales and customer information is in one place. It’s now quick and easy to navigate and complete tasks in a very timely fashion which is critical in peak sales periods. Similarly, from a management perspective, SRO4 is transforming the way in which the business tracks sales trends with real-time dashboards that can be managed and edited by the team atDerby County FC. I am not aware of any other systems in the UK sports market that has all the functionality required for football ticketing combined with the flexibility that enables us to configure and create functionality ourselves without being tied to a supplier’s timescales or resources‘.

As well as the core SRO4 software delivery, TopTix Sport has worked with access-control partner Fortress GB to deliver a seamless link to the turnstile access solution at the iPro Stadium. In addition, a detailed integration has been completed to work with the club’s Direct Debit handling for season tickets ranging from the sign-up process, mandate handling and payment schedules across the season.

Brandon Furse continued:

‘We have made significant improvements operationally since working with SRO4 and TopTix. One major benefit has been the impact the new on-line ticketing platform has had on the business. Our match day sales have increased from 10% of on-line sales prior to working with TopTix to 61% inside the first 12 months of our new partnership. We can sell a very high percentage of products on-line that we can sell from the Ticket Office and that means our ticketing service is much more streamlined with tickets sold around the clock with print at home options. We are already working towards additional enhancements to take advantage of new technologies as they become available and we look forward to the delivery of new features as we progress.‘.
