Saints Fans Read All About It

Southampton Football Club fans will be able to read all about their team’s exploits in the matchday magazine at this week’s sold-out UEFA Europa League fixture where the club will be handing them out to attending supporters free of charge.
The Premier League club has waived the usual £4 cover price on SAINTS magazine – the 84-page, A4-sized magazine it produces for every home fixture – and will distribute it to 30,000 fans at St Mary’s on Thursday night at the UEFA Europa League third qualifying round first leg against Dutch side Vitesse.
On top of engaging with its supporters and thanking them for their support on their return to European football, it was also an opportunity for Southampton to offer a 30,000-strong captive audience to businesses wishing to advertise in the publication.
Head of Marketing, James Kennedy said: “It has been an idea that’s been on our radar for a while, and what better way to showcase it than at one of the most eagerly-anticipated home matches in years.
“It’s going to be a special night for everyone at the football club, especially the fans and that’s why we wanted to thank them for their continued support and give them something extra.”
Each fan with a ticket to the Vitesse match will be able to pick up their free copy of SAINTS upon entering the St Mary’s turnstiles on the night of the game.
The move has been introduced strictly for the Europa League, with SAINTS returning to its £4 cover price for pre-season fixtures, Barclays Premier League and other cup competitions.
