Liverpool Launches New Optimised Website

Liverpool Football Club have launch their newly re-designed Liverpoolfc.com home and news pages.

The site has been created to provide a user friendly experience with both the home and news sections fully optimised and compatible with mobile and tablet devices. 

The new design, which has been in the making for the past year, enhances the web experience for fans through the adoption of a simplified navigation, reduced clutter, and responsive design for mobile and tablet users as well as utilising mobile optimised advertising and live social media feeds on the homepage.

Cloud hosted to allow for responsive scaling, the site is able to handle high traffic throughout key periods to ensure all fans are able to access timely club news and developments.

Automated testing has also been enabled, increasing the speed of deployments, reducing the amount of coding errors and the amount of time required to deliver future site improvements.

Liverpool’s, Chief Media Officer, Matthew Baxter, said: “The new optimised website design has been created with our extensive global fan base in mind, and allows fans to engage and interact with the club on whatever device they want, anywhere, at any time.

“The website has always been an important way for us to share information about the club and players. This new design will ensure an engaging, convenient experience for users of all ages.”

Completion of this first phase will be complemented by the remaining aspects of the site under development, due to be completed later in the season.
