The Premier League has announced that Letv has been awarded the exclusive broadcasting rights in Hong Kong for Seasons 2016/17 to 2018/19.

Letv currently broadcasts Barclays Premier League matches via online and mobile platforms in mainland China as a sub-licensee of Super Sports Media Group, the Premier League's broadcast partner for mainland China and Macau.

"We've enjoyed a great partnership with the English Premier League in the past few years as a digital broadcaster in mainland China," said Chief Executive of Letv Sports, Mr Lei Zhenjian. "And we're very excited now to extend this cooperation to Hong Kong. Together, we'll bring a fantastic English Premier League offering to local fans."

Premier League Executive Chairman, Richard Scudamore, said: "We are very pleased that Letv has chosen to invest in our broadcasting rights in Hong Kong for seasons 2016/17 to 2018/19.

"They have an excellent track record as an online content provider and we look forward to working with them to make all the best Premier League action available to our many fans in Hong Kong from season 2016/17."
