Derby County Reveal Drayton Manor As New Club Partner

Mon 5th Oct 2015 | Football Sponsorship

Derby County have announced Drayton Manor Theme Park as a new partner of the club.

Drayton Manor has signed an initial one-year agreement with the Rams, which includes the sponsorship of the club’s popular matchday Fan Cam.

They will also have the opportunity to engage with supporters on selected matchdays during the 2015/16 season.

Drayton Manor, which is currently marking its 65th year as a family owned and run theme park, is based in Staffordshire and packed with a host of great rides and attractions that the whole family can enjoy.

The theme park features some of the biggest, wettest and scariest rides around, including a 54metre tower drop, Apocalypse, Europe’s only stand up coaster, Shockwave, and the gravity defying G-Force.

Drayton Manor is home to Europe’s first and only Thomas Land™, which underwent an expansion earlier this year that saw the arrival of three brand new rides, Captain’s Sea Adventure, Flynn’s Fire Rescue and Toby’s Tram Express.

Thomas Land now boasts over 25 rides and attractions, including Sodor Airport, which offers unrivalled views over the theme park.

Not forgetting Drayton Manor Zoo, which is home to over 100 animal species  from across the world – plus Dino Trail, museums, shops, cafes, bars and restaurants – and much more. It’s a fantastic fun-filled day for the young and the young at heart.

The park also has an onsite hotel. The four-star 150 bedroom Drayton Manor Hotel features executive rooms, presidential suites and 15 Thomas & Friends™ rooms, as well as two bars, two restaurants plus The Grill Inn, adjacent to the Hotel.

Derby County’s Partnership Sales Executive Jack Salmon said: “We’re pleased to welcome Drayton Manor Theme Park as a new partner of Derby County Football Club.

“It’s great to be a part of Drayton Manor’s first football partnership with the club and we hope this is the start of a long-standing relationship between the two parties.

“From the onset, it was evident of the vision from Alexa Stockham and the marketing team and we look forward to activating exclusive offers to our fan base and the wider footballing community.”

Alexa Stockham, Head of Marketing, at Drayton Manor commented: “Throughout our 65 year history we’ve done what we can to work with the local community and support local organisations so we’re happy to be able to partner with Derby County Football Club and are proud to be able to champion this fantastic team.”
