Premier League Supports Kick It Out Fundraiser

Wed 6th Jan 2016 | Football Industry Events

The Premier League is to sponsor an evening of entertainment designed to raise funds and awareness for Kick It Out next month.

The event, at Stamford Bridge on Thursday 18 February, is to support the organisation's education programme, which has ambitious plans to expand into the grassroots of the game to ensure support is given to clubs that want to eradicate racism and homophobia from terraces big and small.

Leading the entertainment will be the David Idowu choir. They were set up in memory of David Idowu a young schoolboy who was murdered for attending a different school to his attacker.

Ballet Black, a professional ballet company for international dancers of black and Asian descent, will also be performing.

Tickets are still available for the event, which includes a champagne reception and dinner.

Kick It Out’s education work has helped to bring about changes in behaviour and attitudes among all those involved in football. It has now become evident that a greater intensity is required in order to help the game tackle prejudice and hatred

If you’re interested in attending and would like to book a place (£150 each) or table of 10 (£1,500) please contact Amanda Craig, Professional Game Administrator, on 020 7253 0162, or at events@kickitout.org
