Juventus Football Club has launched an official profile on WeChat, the largest and fastest growing social messaging service in China.
Boasting over 550 million monthly active users in the country alone, WeChat’s array of features (text and voice messaging, photo/video sharing and location-based tools) provides the club with a new and exciting way of increasing its daily engagement with Chinese supporters.
To mark the launch, Alvaro Morata recorded an audio voice message to welcome new followers and send his New Year greetings.
The country’s festivities played a big part in the first few days of the profile with exclusive videos, messages and giveaways ensuring it will be a New Year to remember for Chinese fans.
Since stepping into the Chinese digital world in 2011, Juventus has amassed 1.9 million followers across Tencent and Sina Weibo and remains committed to bringing its passionate local fan base closer to the action than ever before.
Supporters in China can keep up to date with all the latest developments on Juventus’ new WeChat account by searching juventusfccn.
