Swansea Sign Rippleffect As New Digital Partner

Wed 13th Apr 2016 | IT & Technology

Swansea City Football Club have announced a new digital partnership with leading sports agency Rippleffect.

The Premier League side will work with the Trinity Mirror-owned full-service digital agency to conduct a full review of their existing official web platform before a complete re-launch ahead of the 2017/18 season.

Swansea are now looking to enhance their UK and global presence by introducing a cutting-edge, fan-focused and commercially successful website.

In Rippleffect, it says it has identified “one of the most reputable digital agencies in sport, with an impressive track record for delivering world-class fan experiences.”

The agency’s remit will include devising a long-term, multi-channel strategy for how the Swans can maximise the potential of digital in engaging fans and supporting its commercial objectives, primarily around ticketing, hospitality and retail.

The new website will be optimised for all devices - including mobile, desktop and tablets - and offer the club greater flexibility for how they communicate with fans and other stakeholders.

Leigh Dineen, Vice Chairman of Swansea City, said: “We’re delighted to confirm Rippleffect as our digital partner.

“As one of the most reputable digital agencies in sport, with an impressive track record for delivering world-class fan experiences, we believe this will be an important partnership for helping us achieve our ambitions.

“Our plans will focus on creating a website that becomes the preferred digital destination for Swansea City fans.”

Ben Hatton, Managing Director of Rippleffect, added: “Over the last 14 years, we’ve been trusted by some of the best known and most successful clubs in British football.

“We are proud to add Swansea City to that list and look forward to helping the club make the most of digital whilst providing the fans with a website they can be proud of.”

Rippleffect has worked in sport for over 14 years and counts Everton, Arsenal, Aston Villa, UK Sport, Chester Racecourse and the Professional Darts Corporation among its clients.
