Sport Hack Tag Launch Digital Innovation Event

SportHackTag is born: A European event focused on digital innovation in the sports world scheduled in London next 24th and 25th May, 2016.

Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur, Watford and other top European football clubs such as Barcelona, Real Madrid and Juventus have already confirmed their presence. 

Over the 24th and 25th May the Emirates Stadium in London will host SportHackTag, the first European event fully focused on digital innovation in the sports world. 

The project, has been developed by GEA World in collaboration with Minimega Pubblicità, two leading Italian agencies in the sports business and well-established in the advertising industry, arises from the awareness that, thanks to the development of new media, companies operating in the sports industry, perceive a gradual change of behaviour from both their fans and from the companies willing to invest in this growing area. 

New media has granted the sports world the opportunity to reach an ever increasing number of followers worldwide, by increasing brand visibility and speeding up a brands expansion in those markets with huge growth potential such as Asia. 

SportHackTag is aiming to become a benchmark for those working in the industry, providing participants with the opportunity to analyse a range of best practices, organise one-to-one meetings between the companies and the industry players, as well as developing new business opportunities.  

The participants, who are currently being finalised, will be joined by some key names of Premier League such as Manchester City FC, Tottenham Hotspur FC, Watford FC and other prestigious European clubs like Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus. The two Spanish clubs will be represented by top managers like Raphael De Los Santos, Head of New Media at Real Madrid and Francesco Calvo, Chief Revenue Officer of Barcelona.

Likewise, the digital world can boast some high-profile participants, already confirmed as speakers for the planned workshops: Maurizio Barbieri,  ‎Head Of Sports and Strategic Video Services at Samsung Asia PTE; Andrea Ghizzoni, Country Director Italy at Tencent; Cristiano Habetswallner  ‎VP Sponsorship Management at Telecom Italia TIM; Jacopo Tonoli CCO at Perform Group. 

Other names that will be joining shortly will be promptly communicated by the event organisers who will be setting up a Newsroom on the official website: www.sporthacktag.com.

Scheduled workshops will focus on social media's core activities in relation to sports entertainment and on the importance for sports clubs to use CRM.
