Spurs Support For AIA Thailand’s ‘Sharing a Life’ Initiative

Title chasing Tottenham Hotspur will wear special edition match shirts supporting AIA Thailand’s ‘Sharing a Life’ initiative during tonight's (Monday) Premier League game with West Bromwich Albion.
The north London club will replace its usual AIA logo on the front of the team’s shirts to promote an initiative aimed at promoting improved health and quality of life for thousands across disadvantaged communities in Thailand.
Match-worn shirts will be signed by the players and auctioned off to raise funds for one of the ‘Sharing a Life’ beneficiary charities, Kanchanabaramee Foundation.
The Foundation aims to educate up to 70,000 people across Thailand in self-examination for breast cancer, as well as funding the best mobile mammography unit in South-East Asia that will save 6,000 at-risk lives per year.
As part of AIA’s commitment to Tottenham Hotspur, a percentage of funds raised through the shirt auction will go to Spurs Wishes, a charitable body established by the club to provide memorable and uplifting experiences to terminally ill fans and their families.

“Since cancer is the leading cause of death in Thailand, we are proud to work in partnership with Kanchanabaramee Foundation to help breast cancer patients and provide screenings for underprivileged people that are most vulnerable to breast cancer.”
Dr. Somyos Deerasamee M.D., Ph.D. from Kanchanabaramee Foundation, said: “Our mission is to provide preventive care services to areas where people have difficulty accessing healthcare. Based on research and studies, breast cancer that’s diagnosed at an early stage is more likely to be treated successfully.
“Through the mobile breast cancer screening unit, we have a volunteering team to guide people on how to check for lumps or other breast changes that may signal breast cancer. The screening unit also enables us to travel to local and remote locations offering high-risk people an opportunity to have a mammogram.
“With this activity, together we save lives and deliver life-changing support to people that need it the most.”
