Aston Villa Partner With Resorts World Birmingham

Wed 29th Jun 2016 | Football Sponsorship

Resorts World Birmingham will become an Official Partner of Aston Villa Football Club for the 2016/17 season.

Resorts World Birmingham is the first Resorts World complex in Europe, and the seventh globally with New York, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Manila already having their own.

“We're delighted to announce our new partnership with Resorts World Birmingham,” said Peter Wright, Head of Partnerships at Aston Villa.

“As the new Official Leisure Resort of Aston Villa there will be clear opportunities to provide a wide choice of retail, leisure and entertainment possibilities for Villa fans.

“The combination of both Resorts World Birmingham’s strong local connections and international business makes this an exciting partnership for the Club and we look forward to working closely with them across the new season.”

The announcement enhances a long standing relationship between the Aston Villa and Resorts World’s parent company Genting Group, one of Malaysia’s largest multi-national corporations.

Commenting on the partnership, Barry Clemo, Strategy Director for Genting UK, said: “We are excited to continue our relationship with Aston Villa, which began with Genting Casinos’ shirt sponsorship from 2011 until 2013, and now continues with the introduction of our new venture in the West Midlands, Resorts World Birmingham.”
