Online sports betting and casino gaming are on the rise. There are dozens of successful operators that run casino and betting sites. It is not unusual for one operator to offer both casino gaming and sports betting, as the two are related.
Potential punters and gamers often need all the help they can get when choosing a casino or betting operator. You’ll find casino ratings revealed at CasinoShorts.com, which will surely help you in your choice of operator. Betting operators have entered football clubs a while ago and today many of the sponsors of top quality Premier League clubs are betting operators.
Recently it has been announced that West Ham have signed a new sponsorship deal, i.e. they have extended their sponsorship deal with Betway. The deal will be worth more than £10 million per year, which takes the Hammers to the 7th spot on the list of clubs with the highest shirt sponsorship deals. Following West Ham’s recent success and the fact that they managed to qualify for European football for a second year in a row and that the club are moving to the 80,000 Olympic Stadium, it is not surprising that Betway decided to extend their deal.
Betway is a privately owned company, founded in 2006, based in Malta and Guernsey. The company also has offices in London, Cape Town and the Isle of Man. In addition to Betway’s sports betting website, the company also owns several other gaming sites, like Betway Casino, Betway Vegas, Betway Poker and Betway Bingo. The company is approved by eCOGRA and they also sponsor Premier League Darts and a number of German clubs which compete in the Bundesliga 2.
Not only is Bet365 the official shirt sponsor of Stoke City, but, as of recently, the betting company also owns the naming rights to the club’s stadium, which is now known as Bet365 Stadium. The company agreed to increase the stadium’s capacity to 30,000. Stoke have signed a 3 year sponsorship deal with Bet365 in 2015 and the deal is worth £3.5 million per year.
Bet365 is one of the largest and most popular betting operators in the UK. It was founded in 2000, by Denise Coates. Bet365 is a privately owned company and is currently the biggest private employer in their hometown – Stoke-on-Trent, where the company employs over 3,000 people. The company’s revenues were £1.5 billion in 2015. Owner Denise Coates has a personal net worth of over £1.6 billion.
Dafabet is a privately owned company from the Philippines. It is licenced and regulated by the authorities of Cagayan, an economic zone in the Philippines where a lot of betting and casino operators are located. The company was founded in 2004 and currently has over 1,000 employees. Dafabet is active all over Asia and they have also obtained a licence from the UK Gambling Commission.
Dafabet is the current official sponsor of the North-eastern club Sunderland. The two parties signed a two-year sponsorship deal worth £6 per year in 2015. Last year Sunderland managed to avoid relegation. Some assume that whether the cooperation continues or not depends on whether the club manage to remain in the Premier League for another season. Dafabet also sponsors newly promoted side Burnley and will be the club’s sponsor for two seasons, including the current one. The deal is worth £2 million per year.
Hull City managed to return to the top tier of English football this year and it is clear that this helped them strike a new sponsorship deal with the popular African betting operator SportPesa. The deal was signed for the period 2016-19 and it is worth £3 million per season. This is the largest sponsorship deal in the history of the club.
SportPesa is owned and operated by Pevans East Africa Limited (PESA), a privately owned companies, where 4 people own almost 80% of the shares. The company was founded in 2014.
