Juventus PLO Joins Player Care Programme

Mon 10th Oct 2016 | Football Club Management

Juventus Football Club’s Matteo Fabris has been confirmed as a keynote speaker for the Premier Sports Network’s Player Care Global event at London’s Royal Garden Hotel on November 25.

Juventus won Italy’s top-tier Serie A title for the fifth time in a row in 2015/16 and Fabris, who is the club’s Team Manager and Player Liaison Officer, will give an insight into how he and his team support a squad of international football stars to ensure they’re able to perform to their maximum capabilities where it matters: on the pitch.

“Juventus are not only a leading football club in Italy, but a global brand with global aspirations,” said David Bull, Executive Director of the Premier Sports Network.

“Having Matteo give an insight into how the club supports its players behind the scenes will be invaluable as delegates look to exchange case studies of best practice that can be adapted for their specific area of player care.”

Fabris is one of a number of PLOs to have been confirmed for the conference programme, and he joins English Premier League trio Paul Irwin (Arsenal), Tim De'Ath (West Ham United) and Peter Barry (Bournemouth). Additional speakers include Brighton & Hove Albion CEO Paul Barber, Manchester City FC Academy Director Mark Allen, rugby team Saracens’ CEO Heath Harvey, and ex-footballer and broadcaster Stan Collymore.

Delegates and speakers at Premier Sports Network’s Player Care Global event will meet to discuss and debate the best ways to protect, support and educate professional athletes to the best standard possible. It has been positioned as a platform for members of the support network, from a variety of sports, to learn and adopt best practice from their peers and counterparts in other sports.

Discussion topics at Player Care Global include how UK sport can learn from the international player care approach; match-day preparation; settling foreign players; youth development; financial management; and mental health and well-being.

For information of how to partner with the Premier Sports Network, or if you would like to get your name on the delegate list, please call 0208 419 1100 or e-mail enquiries@premiersportsnetwork.com
