Premier Sports Network & UCFB Form Partnership

Wed 26th Apr 2017 | Football Industry Events

Premier Sports Network, the events and intelligence provider for an invite-only community of leading sports executives, has announced a partnership with UCFB.

The partnership will see UCFB students join the Premier Sports Network delivery team at events across 2017, where they will be able to experience the mechanics of putting on a B2B sports event, given the chance to learn from industry experts and offered the opportunity to meet major rights-holders, governing bodies and suppliers.

UCFB is educating the next generation of sports executives, so by having UCFB students join us we will be able to give them hands-on work experience, a taste of life within the industry, and the opportunity to meet leading sports executives who can support them in their career journeys,” said Spencer Hidge, Founder of the Premier Sports Network.

Danny Stroud, Complementary Curriculum and Employability Manager at UCFB added: “This partnership will allow our students to gain an insight into preparing and delivering a large scale conference event to high profile sports delegates.

“The relationship will kick-start with students gaining real life opportunities at the Premier Sports Network Player Care Conference on May 3rd. Here at UCFB, the Complementary Curriculum and Employability Team are actively aiming to grow our portfolio of relationships such as this, and we are extremely happy to be working closely with an organisation such as Premier Sports Network for the benefit of our fantastic students.”

At Player Care Manchester, held at the Radisson Blu Edwardian hotel on May 3, professionals from the player support network will meet to discuss a number of current challenges facing professional athletes and their UK advisors.

Topics include safeguarding from abuse, social media management, player security and working with relatives.

Confirmed speakers for Player Care Manchester include Tony Conniford MBE (Head of Teams and Corporate Security at the English Football Association), David Porter (Head of Academy Welfare and Education at Everton FC), Chris Ramsey (Technical Director at Queens Park Rangers) and Lorna McClelland (Aston Villa’s Player Liaison Officer from 2002 to 2016 and one of the first in the Premier League).

The Player Care event in Manchester has now reached maximum capacity, however, you can register your interest for the Player Care event on Wednesday 18th October at The Dorchester Collection in Mayfair, London.
