Curzon Ashton Breaks New Ground With Online Ticket Purchases

Mon 17th Jul 2017 | IT & Technology

Natalie Atkinson, Curzon Ashton FC’s CEO, spoke of her delight as the club began selling tickets online for the first time in their history.

The move positions The Nash as one of the most digitally innovative clubs at National League level with new software, provided by Kaizen, similar to that which English Football League clubs use.

This is the latest in a series of proactive moves by the club during the close season to increase their fan base for the 2017/18 season, including free season tickets for Under-11s.

Natalie Atkinson, CEO, Curzon Ashton, said: “This is a seminal moment for our club. Making tickets available online and in advance of the match, is another way we can broaden our reach and make ourselves more accessible. That is all reflected in the excellent value of the multi-match offer.

“This concept makes it easier to share match details across club social media channels, as well as bank gate revenues much earlier.

“This means we can use that money to keep improving our club in other areas and give the people of Tameside a club of which they can be proud.”

The technology behind the online system is supplied by Kaizen, a London-based start-up, run by staff with a long history of working in football ticketing.

David Lynam, Founder, Kaizen, said: “It is a pleasure to work with Natalie and her team at Curzon Ashton. Her ambition to grow the club is infectious and we are delighted to help her and The Nash’s fans to achieve that goal.”
