Manchester United Post Record Revenue Of £581m

Manchester United has followed a successful year on the pitch with a successful year in business posting record revenues for the year ending 30th June 2017.

In a season which saw the club, under the guidance of Jose Mourinho, win the UEFA Europa League guaranteeing them qualification to the 2017/18 UEFA Champions League as well as clinching two domestic trophies in the 2016/17 season – the EFL Cup and Community Shield.

The club posted record revenue of £581.2m for the year ending 30th June 2017 and record operating profit of £80.8m.   

The period includes 12 sponsorship deals which includes 9 global sponsorship partnerships, 1 regional sponsorship partnership, and 2 financial services and MUTV partnerships.

Speaking of the results, United’s Executive Vice Chairman, Ed Woodward, commented: “We concluded a successful 2016/17 season with a total of three trophies and a return to Champions League football.

“The year saw us set record revenues of over £581m and achieve a record EBITDA of £199.8m. We are pleased with the investment in our squad and look forward to an exciting season.”

The club forecasts revenue for 2018 the remain static at £575m to £585m and adjusted EBITDA to be £175m to £185m.
