Fri 6th Aug 2010 | Marketing & PR
Kevin Plank, Founder, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Under Armour, is the latest in a series of major signings for Leaders in Sponsorship being hosted at Chelsea FC, London on the 6th October 2010.
Under Armour is the originator of performance apparel which is engineered to keep athletes cool, dry and light throughout the course of a game, practice or workout. The brand has achieved iconic status amongst professional athletes and the performance benefits have been marketed worldwide to players of all standards and across all sports.
The company is now a leading developer, marketer, and distributor of branded performance apparel, footwear and accessories, taking on the might of Nike and Adidas with a distinctive brand ethos and unique approach to sponsorship.
Kevin founded the business during his college years after becoming increasingly tired of changing the cotton T-shirt under his jersey as it became wet and heavy during the course of a game. He has served as the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors for 14 years and is one of the most respected sports executives in the Industry. He will talk about the brand story, its positioning, challenges and approach to future partnerships as it seeks to build on its reputation as the best performance apparel on the market.
Kevin will join the “Leaders in Sponsorship” conference platform on 6th October, the world’s most exclusive conference dedicated to sponsorship and brand development in sport. It will provide an opportunity to learn from sponsorship leaders on subjects such as activation, evaluation, negotiation and innovation and the latest trends catching the attention of the leading protagonists.
The conference takes place on day 1 of Leaders in Football, the world’s most exclusive football business event. For further information, please email email@example.com firstname.lastname@example.org or call one of the team on +44 (0)20 8545 1595.
