Expansion of global partnership further strengthens Stanley’s commitment to FC Barcelona in its fourth season as the club’s exclusive ‘Official Tools’ Partner.
FC Barcelona has announced an expansion to its partnership with tools and security brand Stanley Black & Decker which sees them also become an official partner of the FC Barcelona Women’s team.
Stanley Black & Decker has been an Official Partner of FC Barcelona since the 2014/15 season, activating its partnership globally with the men’s team across digital, marketing and merchandising activations.
Under the brand’s ‘Performance in Action’ maxim, they are recognising the outstanding talent and passion demonstrated by the Barça Women’s team who have raised the bar over recent seasons, accomplishing an impressive track record of championship victories.
Inspiring the next generation of players to pursue their ambitions, the FC Barcelona Women’s team is challenging stereotypes and setting an example for young girls who aspire to be successful athletes – whether on the school playing field or at professional club level.
In the 2017/18 season, Stanley is bringing fans closer to the Barça Women’s squad with exclusive content that provides a behind-the-scenes look at the professional athletes who currently stand near the top of the league. This content will live across digital platforms and be promoted on FCB Femeni (FCB Women) and Stanley’s social media channels.
Speaking of the partnership, Xavier Asensi, FC Barcelona Commercial Director, said: “Stanley Black & Decker has been a valued and long-standing official partner of FCB since 2014. “Expanding our partnership to the FCB Femeni team feels like the right next step for the club and Stanley, a brand that shares our core values of effort, ambition and respect, among others, to support a diverse world where everyone is empowered to reach their full potential. Together with Stanley, we’ll find thrilling new ways to activate the full partnership across a range of compelling initiatives that will leave a lasting mark around the world.”
Those sentiments were echoed by Mike Simpson, CMO, Global Marketing, Stanley Black & Decker, who said: “We’re extremely proud to announce this global partnership. The FC Barcelona Femení team is breaking new ground and changing perceptions every day, promoting diversity and respect. We feel honoured to support such an inspiring team in their rising success.
