Football clubs and agents will gather at Middlesbrough FC’s Riverside Stadium for the Football Transfer Forum later this month.

The high quality networking event takes place prior to the summer 2017 transfer window.

Organiser Tony Sharkey of Athelite Sports Agency, explains the concept: “I have been attending the scouting forums for a number of years across the UK and Europe.

“I thought that a smaller regional event just before the next transfer window in the North of England might be a welcome addition to the football calendar.”

The Football Transfer Forum will bring together Sporting Directors, Heads of Recruitment, Chief Scouts and Technical /European /Regional /Academy Scouts from across the country. In addition the forum will also be open to Managers, Assistant Managers, Head Coaches and former players.

The Football Transfer Forum will feature a Keynote session from Simon Wilson, Chief Football Officer at Sunderland AFC and a Q&A with Mark Cartwright, Technical Director at Stoke City FC and former Football Agent.

Simon Chadwick, Professor of Sports Enterprise at Salford Business School will also discuss the growing influence of China with a session titled: “China – Show me the Money”.
