The Northamptonshire County FA (NFA) have announced that Kevin Shoemake has submitted his resignation from the post of Chief Executive Officer, which has been formally accepted.
Former Peterborough United, Kettering Town and Rushden & Diamonds goalkeeper Shoemake, who became Chief Executive Officer of Northamptonshire FA in 2011, is to take up the vacant position of Chief Executive Officer at the Birmingham Football Association.
Speaking of Shoemakes resignation, Bob Cotter, Chairman of the Northamptonshire Football Association, said: “On behalf of everybody associated with the Northamptonshire FA – and I’m sure many involved in the game across our county – I would like to wish Kevin every success in this new phase of his career at the Birmingham FA.
“I would like to place on record my personal congratulations to Kevin on being given such a prestigious position, and our thanks and appreciation go to him for the five years’ service he has delivered as CEO of the Northamptonshire FA.”
It is anticipated that Kevin will commence his new role at the Birmingham FA on 2nd May, and he will formally leave the Northamptonshire FA on 29th April.
Further information regarding a successor to the role of CEO at the Northamptonshire FA will be released in due course.
