Leaders, the largest premium conference and publishing business in sport which connects senior sports executives worldwide, has launched Leaders Week, a week-long series of thought leadership events for the sports and entertainment industry.

Leaders Week will not only host the 10th anniversary of the world renowned Leaders Sport Business Summit on 4 & 5 October at Chelsea FC, but a range of new content rich forums hosted all week and all over London on specialist areas identified by the industry.

The expansion will see Leaders Week attract over 3,000 delegates from over 55 sports and 60 countries to create the largest gathering of senior executives in sport, technology and entertainment.

“Social Fanalytics”, examining the commercial value of social data; “Broadcast Disruptors”, exploring the rapidly changing media landscape; and Generation XX, an evening celebrating women’s sport will kick off the week on Monday 2 October.

Tuesday will see “The Ultimate Fan Experience” identify best practice in building engagement from around the world; “eSports Live” deliver an immersive analysis of the fastest growth area of sport and, that evening, “The Leaders U40 Awards”, will recognise the best talent in the business of sport at the world famous Natural History Museum.

Wednesday marks day 1 of the flagship 2 day Leaders Sport Business Summit, the most prestigious, content rich event in the sport business calendar with 1800 director level executives from all over the world attending.

2017 will see the launch of the “Main Stage”, a structure built onto the side of Chelsea’s stadium in order to accommodate truly iconic speakers and a 400+ strong audience. The event will also see the expansion of the CEO Forum, The Brand Forum and The Digital Forum, which are private gatherings of senior stakeholders in sport hosted within the Summit.

Bringing the curtain down on the Friday of Leaders Week will be another edition of Leaders Meet Innovation, our TED style format of fascinating presentations delivered by futurologists and technology pioneers leaving delegates inspired and energised to move the industry forward.

Leaders Week is set to bring the entire eco-system of the sports and entertainment industry together where key trends are analysed, best practise shared, and key relationships forged.

James Worrall, CEO, Leaders said: “With 2017 representing the 10 year anniversary of Leaders, we’re excited to step change the Leaders Sport Business Summit in London to offer a premium, content rich experience for every senior stakeholder in sport.

“We’ve taken this decision on the back of an extensive period of rigorous research with the global industry and believe Leaders Week will become the industry destination to experience the future of sport.”
