Liverpool Football Club has been ranked No.1 in the Premier League’s VisitFootball Quality Assured Stadium Assessment Scheme, for its overall fan experience.

 

The VisitFootball standard has been developed in partnership with Live Tourism and VisitEngland.

 

The scheme helps clubs set benchmark standards for match experience from the perspective of home supporters, visiting supporters, supporters with specialist access requirements and supporters in hospitality areas. 
 

Liverpool gained first place for the matchday experience it delivered to fans and visitors to Anfield Stadium by VisitFootball for the 2015/16 season.

 

This is the first time LFC has reached the top spot for its overall fan experience, and is the fourth year running it has come top for the club’s accessibility assessment which looks at the experience and service provided to disabled supporters.
 

The news comes ahead of the official opening of the newly expanded Main Stand at Anfield.
 

Andrew Parkinson, Operations Director, Liverpool FC said: “We are absolutely delighted with the result. The experience fans receive when they visit Anfield is truly unique and leaves a lasting memory about this great Club.”
 

Graham Smith, Chair of Liverpool FC Official Supporter’s committee, added: “The fans make the Anfield experience what it is and the LFC Supporters’ Committee are delighted that the local ‘scouse’ warmth is appreciated by everyone visiting the ground, both near and far and it will be something that will remain for generations to come.”
