Scout7 will become the main sponsor of the 2017 Edinburgh Sports Conference, which will be taking place at the city’s Signet Library in September.

The conference, organised by LA Football Conferencing, will bring together several major stakeholders from across the professional football industry, including representatives from FIFA, UEFA, FIFA TMS and UK Sport.

The theme of this year’s conference will be “Integrity in Football” during which a wide-range of issues will be discussed, including player transfers, third-party investment, club financing models, data management, betting and match-fixing.

Keynote speakers already confirmed include FC Internazionale’s Chief Financial Officer Tim Williams, the Asian Football Confederation’s Director of Legal Affairs Benoit Pasquier and UEFA’s Director of Legal Affairs, Alasdair Bell.

Additionally, FIFA Head of Football Regulatory, Omar Ongaro, and FIFA TMS General Manager Kimberly Morris will also be speaking, with the latter publically revealing the highlights from the 2017 summer transfer window and unveiling the headline figures.

Scout7 provide online software solutions to approaching 170 professional clubs, national associations and leagues around the world. The company specialise in providing its clients with bespoke solutions which enable them to privately manage video and data relating to their scouting and player recruitment operation on a day-to-day basis.

With data management being one of the conference’s key themes, Managing Director Lee Jamison believes that it was essential for Scout7 to be involved in the event.

“This year’s Edinburgh Sports Conference is going to see some of the most important issues currently facing the football industry being discussed, not only in UK, but also around the world,” he said.

“Scout7 will be ideally placed to contribute to several of the discussions, given that we are at the forefront of the industry in terms of providing clients with a secure environment for managing data.

“Through our bespoke solutions, each of our clients have access to their own unique state-of-the-art platform, which not only enhances internal recruitment processes, but also offers a greater level of visibility and accountability to key decisions.

“It means that all of a club’s stakeholders, both on the football side and on the business side, can check if all necessary due diligence has taken place before any major financial commitment is made in recruiting a player.

“It also means that the organisation can optimise its operation, to ensure that best-practice is being adopted at all stages of the process.”

After confirming Scout7 as a sponsor, LA Football Conferencing’s Paolo Lombardi expressed his delight at having the company on board.

“The 2017 Edinburgh Sports Conference will offer a unique insight into the latest issues in a constantly developing industry, by bringing together influential stakeholders from clubs, leagues, governing bodies and suppliers,” says Lombardi.

“For over fifteen years, Scout7 have provided the industry with scouting systems which have been part of a wider evolution of recruitment practices at all levels of the game.

“Their technology continues to lead the way in influencing how clubs identify, assess and monitor players around the world and they can provide a unique insight into not only how the industry has changed, but how it is likely to evolve in the years ahead.

“I am very pleased to have them on board as our main sponsor.”

As part of Scout7’s sponsorship, executive staff working at any professional club using the company’s solutions can obtain conference delegate passes at a special discounted rate.
