SIS Pitches are proudly sponsoring The National League Trusts’ walking football tournament at Powerleague Wembley to encourage over 50s to rediscover football.

 

The new footballing identity encourages men and women over 50 to take part in the game.

 

The National League Trust supports National League Clubs’ community schemes and initiative and uses the power of football to change people’s lives.

 

Managing Director of SIS Pitches Bryn Lee, said: “We’re thrilled to be sponsoring the Walking Football Tournament at Powerleague, Wembley and supporting the National League Trust.

 

“Football is a sport for everyone no matter your age and this new twist on the game is sure to encourage more and more people to take part.

 

“We’re proud to work alongside Powerleague and the National League Trust to be able to encourage football fans to play the game they love.”

 

Teams currently signed up to play include; Brackley Town, Chelmsford City, Eastbourne Borough, Eastleigh, Hayes & Yeading, Havant and Waterlooville, Margate, Stockport County, Wealdstone and Western Super-Mare.

 

The tournament commences on Sunday August 14 between 1pm and 6pm.

 

Players must be over 50 and have squads of eight for the five-a-side match.

 

Car parking, changing rooms, a bar and refreshments are available.
