The Football Association has appointed Jon Sellins as its new Operations Director.

Sellins will be responsible for the delivery of all venue operations activity across The FA’s two venues – Wembley Stadium and St George’s Park – to ensure they both meet the governing body’s strategic, operational and financial goals.

He will join from Tottenham Hotspur where he has been working as a contractor on the Premier League club’s new stadium development as well as managing their recent matches at Wembley and will report to Mark Burrows, The FA’s Chief Financial Officer and will sit on the Senior Management Team.

A highly experienced venue and event operator, Sellins previously held senior roles at Earls Court & Olympia, Tough Mudder and the London Olympics where he was Head of Venue Management.

The appointment marks a return to Wembley for Sellins whose career began under the famous Twin Towers.

“I am delighted to be returning to Wembley in a permanent role,” said Sellins in a statement.

“I have a long and happy association with the stadium and I look forward to ensuring that both Wembley and St George’s Park continue to deliver the very best service to all customers and stakeholders.”

Mark Burrows, added: “I am pleased to be welcoming Jon to The FA and back to Wembley Stadium.

“Jon joins us with a wealth of experience and a distinct track record of success.

“Jon has a clear objective to lead a team to ensure both Wembley Stadium and St George’s Park strengthen their positions as world class venues.”
