USL League Two has announced a multi-year partnership with the University Campus of Football Business (UCFB) to become the official education partner of the league.

UCFB’s partnership with USL League Two is another milestone for its best-in-class student experience. This builds on existing partnerships with globally recognised institutions including The Football Association, League Managers Association, The National League and the Real Madrid Graduate School – Universidad Europea, each of which provides its own unique opportunities to UCFB students.

“We are excited to expand the deck of things that we offer our clubs for being a part of our league,” Director of Competition & Development Chris Madden said. “This is something that no other league at this level can offer, with high-quality staff members coming over to assist small staffs in our local communities.”

In 2019, UCFB will send 16 of its students to the United States to assist League Two clubs, and the league fully anticipates the number of student aides to grow on a yearly basis as the partnership continues to develop further.

“Everyone at UCFB is delighted to have formed such a prestigious partnership with the USL,” Head of Employability & Enrichment Neil Silver said.

“There can be no better opportunity for a student who has aspirations to work in the world of sport, and particularly soccer, than to carry out a three-month work placement with a USL club, bringing the skills they have learned on their degree program and contributing to the everyday running of the club.

“Not only will this bring huge added benefits to a student’s CV, but we are confident that UCFB’s talented students can make a highly valuable contribution to the club they are working with. We are very excited to be working with the USL and we look forward to this partnership blossoming.”
