A global future

Brendan Flood, Chairman and Chief Executive of UCFB, said: “Since opening UCFB at Turf Moor in 2011, it has been my vision for us to become the ‘Harvard of Sport’, a truly unique place to learn from and with the best in the industry. Our position as the world’s go-to institution for football and sports higher education is now stronger than ever as we launch UCFB’s Global Study Hubs in June.

“Our students already benefit from learning at our state-of-the-art UK campuses, but now they will have the incredible opportunity to expand their knowledge of the global sports industry with some of the best stadium and trade partners in the world.”

After the Burnley campus was first launched in 2011, UCFB opened campuses in London and Manchester, which have the iconic Wembley and Etihad stadiums at their heart. In 2018, its first ever online Masters degree launched, and a range of pioneering new undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes are set to begin in September 2019.

Sharona Friedman, UCFB’s Chief Marketing Officer, added: “At UCFB we’re continuously looking for new and innovative ways to improve the education and employment opportunities for our students and alumni, and we have been working hard behind the scenes to build the UCFB Global Study Hub opportunities that will be announced in June.

“Sport is an incredibly dynamic industry built on teamwork, so it has been our intention to align with the most cutting-edge, inspiring partners in their respective markets. The announcement of our global plans will continue our mission to be ahead of the game and a disruptor in the higher education space, producing the best equipped sports leaders in the world.

“We can’t wait to announce further details on our new stadium hubs, partners and the phenomenal opportunities that await UCFB’s brilliant students and alumni.”
