Wembley Stadium is one of the most famous football grounds anywhere in the world. The new stadium opened in 2007, and as this was our first visit, we wanted to do it in style with some hospitality.

Next season, this will be the temporary home of Tottenham as they are building a new stadium next to White Hart Lane. If they end the campaign strongly Spurs could well be playing there as the reigning Premier League champions; they remain in the title hunt with Chelsea and can be backed at 19/1 with bookmakers such as Sportsbet who are offering odds on the league championship.

We had no problem arriving at the ground as we took the underground to Wembley Park, which is served by the Metropolitan and Jubilee lines. Once you leave the station, you cannot miss the stadium: it is right in front of you.

When we walked into the Booby Moore Room, we were handed a glass of champagne and shown to our seats. The three-course meal was very enjoyable and we had somewhere comfortable to have a drink before the game started.

The seats were in a fantastic position and padded, so we were very comfortable throughout the game. We also noticed there was much more legroom here than with some of the other seats around the stadium.

Overall, our day was very enjoyable. We felt as though we received world-class hospitality throughout, from walking into the stadium to the farewell we were given when we were leaving several hours later. Not only that, but England won as well!

Travel/Parking: Parking is available at the stadium at a cost. However, the easiest way to get to Wembley Stadium is to use public transport. The nearest underground station is Wembley Park. (5/5)

Pre-Game Information: Tickets are sent to you in an e-mail and you can print them off at home. Security is tight at the stadium so do allow enough time to pass through when arriving for your meal and game. (5/5)

Ambience: The Bobby Moore room was close to full capacity for this game, and there was a great atmosphere in there before and after the match. The room was full of England memorabilia, particularly of the iconic World Cup-winning England captain himself. (4/5)

Match Seating Area: Seats were located on level two of the north stand. The assigned Club Wembley seats were comfortable, while the view of the game was top class. (5/5)

Service: The hostess was very friendly and helpful. Wembley’s hospitality team went above and beyond to make our experience as positive as possible. (5/5)

Food Options: A three-course meal was provided, where there a number of options for starter, main and dessert. The menu was not extensive; however, there was something for everybody on there. We went for the roasted fillet of Scottish beef for our main course. (4/5)

Drinks Options: We were greeted with a glass of champagne when we arrived in the room. We then had a choice of beer, wine and soft drinks before the game, during half-time and up to one hour after the game finished. (5/5)

The Bobby Moore Room and Wembley made us very welcome and we went away wanting to come back again soon. It is a world class stadium with top class facilities.
