Fulham FC are seeking an exceptional IT professional to lead their fast-paced IT Team based predominately at the Training Ground.  Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer you will be responsible for the club’s entire portfolio of IT services including IT budget, contracts and procurement of equipment.


You will be particularly focused on leveraging business goals by ensuring that IT capability (hardware, software and network) is fully aligned with current and evolving everyday business needs and match day requirements.


This role will play an active part in shaping the strategic direction of the business technology initiatives through contributing professionally to a variety of initiatives, new developments and projects. In conjunction with the Management Board you will recommend and implement long term IT strategies which strengthen the club’s use of technology and ensures the Fulham is pioneering in its use of IT.


You will be a confident people manager with the skills and experience to draw the best from your team, identifying opportunities for future development which support club objectives and personal development aspirations. 


Demonstrable experience of using the following software and hardware are essential role requirements: VMWare, Azure, Office 365, Mimecast mail filter or similar, Cisco network equipment, server administration, VOIP and legacy telephony, Veeam backups, Hyperconverged and legacy servers, Mobile device management, Network monitoring tools, CCTV and access control software.


This is a full-time, permanent position which will include working match days as well as providing out of hours support.


Position Purpose

This is a fast-paced, hands-on role; owning the whole portfolio of IT services and taking charge of the IT budget, contracts and procurement. Primary focus is on leveraging business goals by ensuring that IT capability (hardware, software and network) is fully aligned with current and evolving BAU and Matchday needs.

**In conjunction with Management Board to recommend a long term IT strategy for the **Club and ensure that this is understood and followed by the business managers

**Identified specific IT opportunities, which complement the business objectives, provide advice, assistance to the Management Board to ensure the Club fully benefits

**Identify specific risks or weaknesses in the Company’s IT and Communications position and takes steps to minimise these risks and subsequent exposure

**Manage the whole portfolio of IT Services

**Prepares, gains acceptance and monitor annual and longer-term plans and budgets, ensuring that costs are controlled and advising business management in assessment and preparation of individual department IT proposals

**Identifies avoidable spending by the department, the Club and users and minimises this

**Manage the activities of the IT team to ensure that users have the necessary guidance and support

**Ensure that all company hardware and software operate legally and effectively and that support and maintenance is available when necessary

**Effectively maintains and analyses mobile communications contract for the Club and identifying opportunities and risks

**Ensures that all systems are well protected

**Plan, oversee and implement new Projects

**Maintains up to date awareness of IT hardware and software developments so that the Management Board is properly advised

**Provide KPI Reports to the Management Board on Staff and Service Desk performance

**Maintains and evolves IT Disaster Recovery planning to ensure swift recovery of any IT related incidents within the organisation

**Work closely with department and site managers to determine IT requirements for future progression

**Ensures that the IT team are effectively motivated and developed through training whether on or off the job

**Manage and maintain Stadium Services (EPOS, Ticketing, UPS and Power Management, Access Control, Critical Safety Systems)

**Run preparation checks and attend matches in a support role on weekends
