888sport have launched an exciting and unique partnership as the first Main Sponsor to simultaneously sponsor four EFL Championship teams for the 2016/17 season by offering fans free travel to away games until Christmas.

As one of the most watched leagues in world football, 888sport believes that the Championship is the right platform for its sponsorships efforts which will include sponsoring Birmingham City, Brentford, Nottingham Forest and Preston North End.

The online betting company understands that the Championship is where the real football fans are and to this end will be rolling out a series of activities as part of the 888sport “Fans First Campaign”:

– 888sport will be supplying free travel to all midweek away league fixtures prior to Christmas in a bid to help the teams in their quest for promotion to the English Premier League.

– Fans will also get the opportunity to take up the Goals Means More promotion on www.888sport.com and get a free £5 bet every time their team scores a goal.

– 888sport will be releasing Championship specials on www.888sport.com and plan to offer the best odds in the market for each of the four sponsored clubs as well as on the ground promotional activities throughout the season.

As part of the “888sport Fans First” Campaign, 888sport is releasing videos showcasing the clubs unsung heroes, the Kitmen.  The videos include never-before-seen footage of the various Kitmen and give fans a deeper insight into the realities of Championship life.

Each of the four teams have expressed their enthusiasm for the campaign and specifically for the free travel to away games.

Billy Grant, spokesperson from Brentford fans website Beesotted, said: “This is a great initiative from a sponsor that clearly understands the challenges we face watching our beloved team away from home.”

Itai Pazner, Senior Vice President and Head of B2C at 888 Holdings, added: “We are very excited to be kicking-off our “888sport Fans First” Championship campaign by partnering with four of the most prestigious clubs in the competition.

“We believe that the Championship has retained the essence of true football and know that fans are the heartbeat of every club, so we really want to help them with things that will make a significant difference to their relationship with their team”.
