A Record-Breaking Summer For Urban Zoo
With the EFL season now under way – in which Urban Zoo covered 87% of all matches on offer – following an extensive, record-breaking pre-season streaming period for many of its clubs and now with the Premier League kicking off this weekend, Urban Zoo are reflecting on a record-busting summer.
An incredible 65+ launches, migrations and projects have been completed during the off-season, further positioning the Gamechanger platform as the pre-eminent PAAS platform in sport.
Clients across the Premier League, EFL and National League are flocking to Gamechanger, which provides a one-stop ecosystem across web, apps, streaming, SSO and retail.
The company will be shining a light on each of its launches individually over the coming weeks – but can reveal a total of 38 clubs and federations have onboarded onto the Gamechanger platform over the summer period across web and app, retail and streaming, with a comprehensive suite of third-party integrations.
Meanwhile, 16 clubs across new and existing clients have migrated to the StreamLine OTT product, with more to follow before the end of the year. These clubs are now taking advantage of Gamechanger’s cutting-edge video platform, making streaming seamless and, crucially, simple for time- and resource-pressured club editorial teams. The powerful feature set includes instant live-to-VOD recording, clipping, automated subtitles and much more.
Urban Zoo’s chief commercial officer, Rob Moore, said: “The run up to the start of this season has seen an unprecedented number of clubs join our platform.
“Over 65 projects and launches on web, app, streaming and retail means we now have the privilege of working with around 70% of professional football clubs in the Premier League and EFL.
“Our thanks go to our talented team together with the all the clubs who have pulled out all the stops and showed exemplary skill and collaboration to make this happen.
“This gives us a unique advantage going forwards in being able to pool ideas and resources to continue to improve how clubs and organisations engage with their fans for this season and beyond.”
