Birmingham City Announce New Fan Initiatives
Birmingham City Football Club has announced a series of initiatives aimed at strengthening the club’s relationship with fans.
Chairman of the Board, Tom Wagner, sent a ‘Letter to Fans’ in the summer in which he outlined six Commitments that he asked fans to hold the leadership of the club accountable to.
The first Commitment related directly to fans: “We want you to be involved in the journey with us. Using the recommendations outlined in the 2021 Fan Review we will create forums so your views and opinions are heard and such decisions made shall take into account the interests of all our stakeholders.”
After consultation with fans and fan groups, the club has revealed three new initiatives which deliver on the intent of this commitment.
Blues Open House
This is a quarterly ‘by invitation’ only open evening for up to 100 fans who are committed to Blues and whose work helps shape the views of Bluenoses across the globe.
Blues Matters
Official Fan Engagement Programme will launched in January 2024, and will be the official constructive communication channel between the club and fans
Blues Official Supporters Club
Another initiative to be launched in January 2024 will be the recreation of the Official Supporters Club, joining organisations across the country and globe in one new digital and physical home.
The three new initiatives will put fans front and centre in the new Alliance that the football club is building. Each one is designed to provide updates on the progress being made, facilitate idea sharing and bring fans closer to the club.
