The Clarets said they had acted decisively to protect the interests of the club and its supporters, while ensuring preparations for the season continue uninterrupted both on and off the pitch.

Vertu, the automotive retailer, will become front-of-shirt sponsor across Burnley’s men’s, women’s and academy first-team shirts from today.

The agreement marks an expanded commercial relationship between Vertu and Burnley, building on a partnership that began in the 2022/23 season. The retailer now takes on one of the most visible sponsorship assets at Turf Moor as the club enters the new campaign.

Burnley chairman Alan Pace, said: “We are delighted to welcome Vertu as Burnley Football Club’s new Official Front of Shirt Principal Partner. Vertu has been a valued and trusted partner of the club, and this new relationship is a natural next step for two organisations that share a commitment to ambition, innovation and long-term success.

“From our very first conversations, it was clear there was a shared vision for what this new partnership could achieve, and we look forward to working even more closely together and creating exciting new opportunities for our supporters throughout the season.”

Robert Forrester, chief executive of Vertu, added: “We are delighted to strengthen our support for Burnley Football Club by becoming front-of-shirt sponsor for the 2026/27 season.

“Over the past four years, our partnership with the club has been about much more than what happens on the pitch, and we have developed a strong relationship that has allowed us to work together to really benefit the local community.

“Burnley FC sits right at the heart of that community, and this new, enhanced partnership will allow us to continue working on programmes that we know will have a huge impact on people and communities across East Lancashire, while also increasing awareness of the Vertu brand as we continue to grow.”

Vertu first joined forces with Burnley ahead of the 2022/23 season, and since then, the partnership has developed through a range of initiatives focused on supporting people and communities across Burnley and wider East Lancashire.

Further information relating to existing replica shirts and supporter arrangements following the change in principal partner will be communicated through Burnley’s official channels.
