Cardiff City have been nominated for a top award for its fan engagement programme.

As part of the club’s digital revolution and enhanced fan engagement programme, Cardiff City FC has been shortlisted for ‘Best Venue Project’ for the 2016 Install Awards.

The nomination comes on the back of nearly a year’s worth of digital improvements throughout Cardiff City Stadium.

This has seen nine new Ricoh HD projectors from 120-179″ adorn each of the stands and hospitality zones at CCS, showing live matches on game day as well as a wealth of in-house produced club content that promotes all levels of football as well as weekly Bluebirds news.

In addition, the club now has digital signage and statzones present throughout its hospitality areas and concourses, delivered by Tripleplay to Sony TVs, whilst the establishment of a Stadium App, now with over 9,000 subscribers, and an IPTV network allows the Bluebirds to send out key messages to more digital platforms than ever before.

This approach is maximising the club’s reach, the effect of their content and value they offer sponsors.

Speaking of the news, Executive Director & CEO Ken Choo said: “I’m delighted to see that the club is being recognised at a national level for its significant improvements in this field.

“The degree of digital enhancement throughout the stadium further exemplifies our commitment to supporters and the betterment of the match-day experience.”
