Chelsea & Three Celebrate Fandom From A New Perspective

Mobile network Three is celebrating the passion of football fans up and down the country with its latest advertising campaign aimed specifically at football fans.

Through its sponsorship of Chelsea FC, Three has captured the essence of what it is like to be a football fan and player – all told through the mobile phone.

Whilst the beautiful game may be covered through glossy TV programmes, highlights and broadcasting, it’s the fans that truly show the most real and authentic version via their mobile phones.

An iteration of its recent new brand launch ‘Life Needs a Big Network’, this aims to show how important football is to the lives of millions and how mobile connectivity is integral to being a fan in this age.

All fan content featured in the advert was sourced through Seen.it, which allowed fans to film and submit their own content. When they visited the platform for this project they were greeted by an exclusively filmed welcome video filmed by Chelsea and USA player, Christian Pulisic.

Chelsea launched this for the first game of the season and received nearly 300 submissions from Chelsea fans all over the world.

The selected footage was mixed with phone-shot footage of familiar on-pitch faces in Mason Mount, Reece James and N’Golo Kanté.

Aislinn O’Connor, marketing director at Three commented: “Football has been an important part of people’s lives for generations no matter what team you support. With our network fans can immerse themselves in matchday excitement from the moment they wake up, as we keep them connected to every single moment that matters, big or small.”
