Clyde FC Announce Ticketco As New Ticketing Partner

Clyde Football Club have appointed TicketCo to enhance and improve the ticket purchasing process for supporters with the additional opportunity to grow the fanbase.

As the official ticketing partner of the Scottish League One club selected to provide mobile-first technology, TicketCo will manage all ticketing sales for the 7,709 capacity Broadwood Stadium.

The partnership has been formed to simplify the purchasing process at Clyde FC and improve the operational efficiency of the club. The TicketCo mobile technology sends tickets with QR codes to supporters’ smartphones which are then scanned at turnstiles to gain entry on match-day.

John Taylor, Clyde FC General Manager, said: “We have partnered with TicketCo to help the club improve the user experience for supporters when making purchases. The TicketCo system appealed to us because it is easy to use, is modern, and will help us grow commercially.

“TicketCo pulled out all the stops to integrate our system quickly, after we were handed a cup tie with Celtic just days after signing our partnership agreement. It allowed us to use the system straight away to handle the high demand for tickets. We look forward to continuing to work with TicketCo to further introduce further functionality of the platform.”

The TicketCo system is being introduced in a staged process, with paper and digital tickets on sale for the Celtic match to home supporters only. TicketCo and the club will then work together to introduce hospitality and wider online sales functions.

David Kenny, TicketCo UK Country Manager, said: “We’re proud to have partnered with a club that is committed to modernising its ticketing system and improving fan engagement. We are working closely with the club to help it enhance the fan experience, improve club operations and grow commercial revenue.”

TicketCo’s technology is designed to make event payments quick and easy for both organisers and consumers, thanks to its pioneering technology.

The platforms’ technology is compatible with Android and iOS devices. TicketCo has offices in Norway, the UK, Poland and Sweden. It has partnerships with several football clubs, including Kilmarnock, Wycombe Wanderers and Macclesfield Town. TicketCo recently signed a five-year deal with Norsk Toppfotball to supply the top two Norwegian football leagues with ticketing and payment solutions.
