Dartford FC Reveal Target Darts As Front-of-Shirt Sponsor
Dartford FC has announced an official sponsorship deal with Target Darts, the world’s leading darts manufacturer.
The landmark partnership, which will last for two seasons, will see Target Darts become the club’s front-of-shirt sponsor for the men’s home and away kits, as well as the women’s away kit, and will also feature on the back of the women’s club tracksuits.
To celebrate the announcement, Dartford FC hosted Dutch icon and five-time World Champion, Raymond van Barneveld for a special content shoot at their home ground Princes Park, where he toured the stadium, met the squad and took part in a series of football-darts themed challenges.
Nicknamed “The Darts”, Dartford FC is gearing up for the new Isthmian Premier League season under the leadership of manager Ady Pennock, after the team finished third last season and narrowly missed promotion.
As part of the sponsorship, Target will support Dartford FC’s Community Programme which works closely with schools and organisations to increase sporting opportunities for children and adults, improve health and wellbeing and tackle social issues, uniting communities through the power of sport.
James Tattersall, Managing Director at Target Darts, said of the sponsorship: “We’re incredibly proud to be sponsoring Dartford. It’s our first venture into the heart of football and there couldn’t be a more fitting partner than “The Darts”.
“We see this partnership as more than just a logo on the shirt. It’s an exciting opportunity to celebrate the shared energy of darts and football, have some fun and create unforgettable experiences for fans throughout the season.”
Steve Irving, Chairman of Dartford FC, added: “We are delighted to welcome Target as a main sponsor of the Club over the next two seasons.
“Partnering with a progressive and innovative brand like Target is another crucial step on this journey. Can there be a more perfect partnership in non-league football?
“Not only do we share the Darts name, but we are aligned in our goals and aspirations and see this as an opportunity to celebrate the synergy between darts and football and bring a new dynamic to the club.”
