The Millichip, named in honour of former Baggies and FA chairman Bert Millichip, has long been a focal point for premium matchday experiences at The Hawthorns.

The refurbishment of the suite has transformed the 3,000 sq ft venue into a versatile entertaining space for both matchday hospitality and non-matchday events.

The project marks the first collaboration between DT Sports and the club, with the brief centred on developing a multifunctional venue that could seamlessly adapt from a premium dining environment to a professional conference venue or space for celebrating special occasions.

The scheme designed by DT Sports prioritised flexibility, durability and ease of use, without compromising on style or comfort. A key feature is the integration of mobile, folding tables that make it easy for staff to adjust the layout as needed to suit a variety of events and audience sizes.

Carefully chosen finishes, lighting, and furniture create a balance between corporate professionalism and warm hospitality.

The project was delivered in just eight weeks during the closed season and was unveiled to fans at the club’s first home game against Blackburn Rovers.

Speaking about the collaboration, West Bromwich Albion’s Head of Commercial, Tomasz Chadwick, said: “We wanted to refurbish our historic Millichip Suite to create a modern facility with premium features.

“The design needed to reflect the club’s heritage while providing flexible use for matchdays and a wide range of non-matchday and corporate events.

“DT Sports took our vision and worked closely with our facilities team to translate it into an exceptional suite that most definitely has the ‘wow’ factor we were looking for. We are thrilled with the result and look forward to working together with DT Sports on future projects.”

DT Sports is a specialist division of Yorkshire commercial interior design company Design Tonic dedicated to designing and delivering exceptional hospitality and sports spaces.

Design Tonic co-founder, Amanda Cook, said: “We were hugely excited to be appointed by West Bromwich Albion as its design partner for this fantastic project.

“The transformation of the Millichip Suite not only enhances the matchday experience but also expands the club’s ability to host conferences, dinners, and events throughout the year unlocking fresh opportunities for both revenue and engagement.”
