Erreà Makes A Return To Middlesbrough FC
Italian sportswear brand Erreà have signed a multi-year technical partnership agreement with Middlesbrough FC until 2024.
The deal sees Erreà return to the Riverside having dressed Boro during the club’s most successful period in its history which included the League Cup triumph in 2004 and the following two seasons, when the ‘Smoggies’ competed in Europe.
Fabrizio Taddei, Head of Erreà’s Global Partnership department, said: “All our partnerships with clubs are important to us, but there is something very special about re-establishing a relationship with Middlesbrough.
“Our last partnership lasted 14 seasons and produced some shirts that have become iconic for Boro fans, as they were worn by fantastic players during a period that included one of the most exciting cups in European football history.
As a family business, we have a lot in common with Boro and it’s no exaggeration to say that the in-house announcement here at Errea has created a real excitement, as almost all of the people involved in our last partnership are still here and there’s definitely a sense of ‘homecoming’ for all of us.
“As always, we’ve worked closely with the club on the new designs and we’re excited to see the fans’ reaction to what we’ve produced.”
Jo-Ann Swinnerton, Middlesbrough FC’s Head of Retail, said: “We are delighted to welcome Errea as our official technical kit partner. The club and Errea have a shared heritage and we look forward to re-establishing the relationship that has proved so successful. Errea has produced some of the best-loved kits in our history and we can’t wait to unveil to our fans what’s in store for next season.”
