In September 2016 the International Football Business Institute will open its doors in Brussels, Belgium. A chance for football addicts with a mind for business to learn from the best in the industry and be awarded an International Postgraduate Certificate in Football Business from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
Founder and expert in sports management Jos Verschueren is eager to launch the postgraduate course and welcome business minds from all over the globe.

What will the participants get to know and learn?
Our postgraduate course provides a wide array of topics taught over the course of a one-year training period by the biggest names in the industry. From football law and finance to fan community management and stadium technology management. In short, all fields of expertise that make up the business of football are covered.
But first hand experience is equally important. Our participants will get to know the importance of attending events, sharing best practices and collaborating with other business minds through experience tours to the biggest clubs, stadiums and some spectacular matches.
The biggest names in the industry, you say?
Indeed. We welcome experts from organisations and clubs such as FIFA, Manchester City, FC Porto, Leicester City, the National Football Museum, Monaco, PSG, Manchester United, ING, Nissan, Brussels Airlines, Yutang Sports, EVS, the Asian Football Confederation and UEFA to teach our participants the skills of their respective fields of expertise.
Where will the classes take place?
The IFBI finds its home in the University Foundation in Brussels. A venue that breathes class and refinement, and provides the institute with all necessary accommodations. A central location in the capital of Europe, in the midst of the world’s best clubs and biggest leagues, offering extensive connections throughout the continent and welcoming students from all over the world.
What is the price tag for the course?
We offer business education on Champions League level. Applying for our postgraduate course requires an investment of circa €40.000, about £32.000. In return our participants get the opportunity to learn from the best in the business, access to the experience tours, a tailored suit, breakfast, lunch and drinks on days of class, free public transport in Brussels.

Participants must have a bachelor or master degree to be able to enrol in the course. We will examine every profile and set up an intake via Skype with the applicants mostsuitable for our course as we can only admit a maximum of 60 participants worldwide.
