Preston headquartered FWP is a long-standing supporter of non-league football and has a relationship with the NPL stretching back to 2009.

The Fair Play Awards will run throughout the season and reward clubs for their excellent off-field discipline, with presentations made monthly throughout the season and at the end of season presentation evening.

David Robinson, FWP managing partner, said: “We are proud to be sponsoring the league’s revamped Fair Play Awards.

“We’ve built up a strong relationship with the NPL over the years and we are fully committed to supporting non-league football, whose clubs hold such a special place in their communities.”

Mark Harris, chair of the NPL, said: “I am delighted that our relationship with FWP has entered its second decade.

“FWP has already helped several NPL clubs to develop their stadium facilities and, as a league, we look forward to them helping many more in the same way.”

Monthly award winners will receive a certificate, with cash prizes at the end of the season for the overall winners.

The award will be based on clubs’ technical area marks during games, in line with the current FA campaign to improve behaviour and respect to match officials.

FWP with offices in Preston, Manchester and London, has worked with a host of football clubs to develop new stadiums and upgrade existing facilities.

They range from Premier League Everton and Manchester United and EFL clubs Preston North End and Fleetwood Town to FC United, Chester, Hastings United, Weymouth and AFC Fylde further down the game’s pyramid.

It has built a national reputation for delivering successful football and sports ground projects, through its design work and by creating sustainable community stadiums that generate much-needed income streams.

FWP’s strategic advice and design expertise, as well as the ability to work to budgets, also proves crucial when clubs have limited resources for their plans.

The business has also sponsored and supported a range of non-league clubs and community initiatives, including becoming shirt sponsor of former NPL club AFC Fylde, now in the National League.
