General Sports Worldwide Appoints Ashley Peden As Senior VP–Commercial

General Sports Worldwide (GSW) has announced the appointment of Ashley Peden as Senior Vice President – Commercial, further strengthening the organisation’s senior leadership team as it continues to expand its global football consultancy services.

Ashley joins GSW following a highly successful three-year tenure as Chief Commercial Officer at Sunderland AFC, where he led a period of significant commercial growth across retail, partnerships and premium experiences at the Stadium of Light.

A highly respected figure within English football, Ashley brings over two decades of experience from his time at Derby County, alongside previous consultancy work with GSW supporting Sunderland – an engagement that ultimately led to his permanent executive role at the club.

“I’m looking forward to using my experience from more than 25 years working in football to work closely with a number of clubs to help them discover new commercial opportunities – and enhance existing ones – to maximise their revenue. Ashley will take up his role with immediate effect.
