Google Pixel Partners With Arsenal & Liverpool
New partnerships with Pixel aim to further grow access to the games across both men’s and women’s football.
Google Pixel has announced two new long-term partnerships with Premier League clubs Arsenal Football Club and Liverpool Football Club, as their Official Mobile Phone Partner.
The announcements further expand Pixel’s platform within football, following a landmark partnership with The FA that began in June 2023.
Through these partnerships, Pixel is now able to expand its reach across both domestic and international competitions, helping to benefit fans across all levels of the game.
Pixel will work with the men’s and women’s teams across both clubs to help bring fans closer to the sport they love, powered by Pixel’s leading AI-powered technology.
This includes exclusive content as well as deeper, tech-driven experiences, using Google’s AI-enhanced camera features on the device to amplify fan experiences across Anfield, Emirates Stadium, Meadow Park and Prenton Park, as well as for fans watching at home.
In year one, Pixel will work with Liverpool FC to create their first dedicated women’s football show on YouTube, going behind the scenes during another exciting season in the WSL for the Red’s, as well as working with Arsenal FC to deliver exclusive pitchside footage of every home Premier League and Women’s Super League match.
Both clubs will also work with Pixel to produce a ‘Pitchside, Presented by Pixel’ content series that will take fans into the heart of the action with exclusive content from the sidelines, all shot on Pixel phones.
Pixel will also collaborate closely with each partner to help close the visibility gap between men’s and women’s football, by delivering more, and higher quality women’s football content, with the aim of inspiring more girls and women to get involved in the sport, and help move the game forward.
This includes support for Pixel FC, Pixel’s landmark collective of dedicated women’s football content creators, who were announced ahead of the Women’s World Cup this summer.
Throughout the 2023/24 season and beyond, Pixel will be working with all of its partners to provide long-term support for Pixel FC members, including exclusive access, training, tools and investment.
Eileen Mannion, Vice President Marketing at Google UK, said: “We are thrilled to partner with Arsenal and Liverpool football clubs. As their Official Mobile Phone partner, Google Pixel will use its legendary AI-powered camera to enhance the matchday experience, bringing fans closer to the game they love, by helping them capture all the emotions of football.
“We will also work with both clubs to help close the visibility gap for the women’s game, delivering on our commitment of making football more accessible and equitable for all fans.”
Juliet Slot, Chief Commercial Officer at Arsenal FC, added: “Our priority is to put our supporters at the heart of everything we do and we’re extremely pleased to announce this exciting partnership with Google Pixel that will help us achieve this.
“This is a first for us and will bring supporters much closer to the action through high quality content. This latest partnership is one of the many ways we are enhancing the club’s presence and transforming the game for football supporters everywhere.
“I’m particularly proud that it will help to make the game more accessible and boost the visibility of women’s football on the global stage.”
Ben Latty, Commercial Director at Liverpool FC, said: “We are incredibly proud to be announcing this Partnership between Liverpool FC and Google Pixel. At LFC, it is important to us that we are not only partnering with the biggest and most exciting brands, but that the brands we are partnering with allow us to offer something of real value to our supporters.
“We are looking forward to seeing how over the course of the Partnership we will work together to give fans of our men’s, and women’s first teams exclusive content and experiences that will bring them closer to the game they love.”
