Erreà Provides UEFA Kit Assistance Scheme Supplies

Italian kit supplier Erreà enters the next phase of its partnership with UEFA and the Kit Assistance Scheme for Europe’s national associations.

The partnership, initiated for the period between 2022 and 2026, ensures that all of UEFA’s national associations who join the Kit Assistance Scheme have access to customised training wear, travel wear and matchday clothing for their senior and under-21 national teams.

Erreà Sport, based in Parma province in the northeastern Italian region of Emilia-Romagna, was chosen through a tender process which emphasised criteria such as quality, range, kit personalisation, logistics and merchandising opportunities.

The family-owned company, founded in 1988, are one of the world’s most innovative teamwear manufacturers and is currently working with over 300 clubs and associations around the world and across a wide variety of sporting disciplines.

UEFA’s Kit Assistance Scheme

UEFA’s Kit Assistance Scheme has been in operation since 2007 and is run under the auspices of UEFA’s Top Executive Programme (TEP). Through the scheme, UEFA is providing kits and training wear for the associations’ senior and under-21 teams free of charge.

The scheme enables those associations to play in top calibre clothing, featuring bespoke designs linked to each nation’s rich history, culture and traditions that appeal to players and fans alike.

Associations that take advantage of UEFA’s Kit Assistance Scheme are fully involved in the kit design process with Erreà. The partnership is based on supplying national team kits to associations that are not only of the highest standards in terms of design, quality and comfort but also reflect national identity.

Small & Medium-Sized Associations

The partnership between Erreà and UEFA is for the benefit of smaller and medium-sized national associations that often lack sufficient bargaining power when negotiating with kit suppliers.

Currently national senior and under-21 teams from ten European national associations, which include Andorra, Belarus, Cyprus, the Faroe Islands, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, San Marino, Kazakhstan and Kosovo, will wear new kits thanks to UEFA’s Kit Assistance Scheme.

At the start of the partnership, Erreà and the scheme’s member national associations joined forces in a comprehensive consultation process which focused on the design of the national teamwear. Both sides worked to create customized items that were not only aesthetically appealling and performing, but also bore a sporting and cultural message.

For the next cycle 2024 to 2026, a new range of items will be presented to each association.

National Identity

For member associations, the partnership brings several benefits economically and logistically. But above all it provides each nation with a unique kit that reflects their national identity.

Working with Erreà design team, kits can incorporate contemporary styles that appeal to new generations of fans intertwined with traditional elements that reflect national colours or cultural nuances.

Above all, the partnership provides each member association with a dedicated and flexible design and customer care team that works with them to bring to life their bespoke teamwear designs.

Attention To Detail

Erreà’s unique proposition sees the material produced for each national team shirt is not only high-performance and impactful but also certified Standard 100 by OEKO-TEX, an attestation that sets extremely strict limits on substances harmful to health. The company has also earned plaudits for its research and development activities in relation to new fabrics such as the recently presented antiviral and antibacterial fabric Ti-Energy.

In addition, Erreà is the only major manufacturer producing goods in its own EU factories. This means that there is no third-party ordering and every stage of production, from thread selection to finished garment, is monitored and controlled from the company headquarters in Italy.
