Join In The Lockdown Gold Cup

It’s been an unbelievably hard year for the sports industry and the latest lockdown was a particularly cruel blow given that we were just starting to see a phased return of spectators at sporting events in a some areas of the country.

For the individuals working in the sports industry it’s been a frustrating and difficult period but most businesses have been fantastic in finding ways to keep their employees engaged whilst they work from home yet again.

As lockdown fatigue sets in, there’s a new unique competition launching for organisations in the sports industry. The Lockdown Gold Cup is a competitive virtual race night for the sports industry, with the aim of helping businesses to keep their teams engaged, compete & network with their industry peers and raise money for good causes. The event is open to organisations from across the industry from brands to rights holder and clubs to media owners.

Organisations are encouraged to form teams of up to 10 and bet on the runners and riders with virtual points. An average score is taken for each company, with the highest average scorers being crowned champions and winning a real trip to the races later in the year.

The event takes places on Thursday 4th March and will include an introduction from a mixologist, who will help everyone to create a delicious cocktail and get participants in the mood for an evening at the races. £10 from every entry will go into the charity pot, with the winning team donating the pot to a charity of their choosing.
