LFC Foundation Secures £6m Steve Morgan Foundation Partnership

LFC Foundation has announced a new £6m partnership with the Steve Morgan Foundation aimed at tackling social inequality across the Liverpool City Region.

The five-year agreement will provide £1.2m per year to support children, young people, families and communities through an expanded programme of place-based initiatives.

The latest commitment takes the Steve Morgan Foundation’s total contribution to Liverpool Football Club’s official charity to more than £10m over the course of a decade, making it the LFC Foundation’s largest sole funder.

The expanded partnership will support a fully integrated programme designed to deliver measurable, long-term regional impact across wellbeing, community development, health, learning and employability.

A strengthened focus will be placed on Anfield, alongside wider activity across the Liverpool City Region, as both organisations look to create lasting change in communities where support is needed most.

The funding will enable LFC Foundation to support a further 80,000 people as it works towards its ambition of reaching half a million people across the Liverpool City Region and beyond by 2030.

During the 2024-25 season, LFC Foundation supported more than 145,000 people, with 20 per cent living in some of the most deprived communities in the UK.

The investment will continue to support the charity’s 11 community hubs across the region, which work to reduce isolation, tackle food insecurity and create opportunities for local communities.

It will also help scale flagship programmes including Works, which supports young people into education, training and employment; the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities programme, which creates inclusive opportunities for children and young people with additional needs; and Kicks, which uses football and sport to engage young people and strengthen communities.
