Andrew Markham, Head of Global Partnership Sales at Liverpool FC has been confirmed as one of the speakers at the China Football Summit 2016 , to be held on 26-27 May in Shanghai.

The China Football Summit 2016, of which fcbusiness is a proud media partner, is a two-day conference that aims to provide delegates a platform to meet up with industry experts to discover the Chinese football market.

Liverpool recently agreed an 18-month regional partnership with Chinese automotive firm MG Auto. The deal comes as Liverpool is reportedly looking to China for investment and sponsorship of their redeveloped main stand at Anfield.

Mr. Markham, who is responsible for establishing global and regional partnerships for Liverpool, will join a high profile line up of speakers from clubs across the globe and participated at the event last year. 

Highlights of China Football Forum 2016:

1. Publication of “The overall program of reform and development of Chinese football,” with a long-term goal of World Cup bidding, and make football part of national strategy.
2. China Sports Media Co., Ltd bought the property rights of Super League for next five years at 8 billion yuan.
3. Guangzhou Hengda won the AFC championship the second time.
4. China capital shocked the international football market: Wanda Group acquired Infront, China Media Capital purchased 13% shares of City Football Group with a price of 40 million USD; RASTAR GROUP CO.,LTD. acquired and replenished the Spanish football club.
