Macclesfield Aim For Home Advantage With TigerTurf Premier Pro Pitch
Macclesfield Football Club seek another giant killing in the FA Cup as they host Brentford at the Leasing.com Stadium tonight (16th Feb).
The game will be played on TigerTurf’s Premier Pro artificial football turf, certified under the FIFA Quality Pro framework and support’s Macclesfield’s self-sustaining efforts.
Used for up to 50hrs each week, from the junior Academy and women’s first team to the Community Sports Trust and the BTEC Education Programme, the club relies on the durable and high-quality surface to deliver football sessions seven days a week, whatever the weather.
Rob Smethurst, Macclesfield FC Chairman, said: “Without this amazing pitch, we wouldn’t be able to run a successful club, and we wouldn’t make it sustainable.”
As well as the economic benefits, it also enables the first team to train consistently and fulfil home games when others are being called off up-and-down the country.
Bob Trafford, Macclesfield FC Head of Commercial and Sponsorships, said: “In the typical week, the pitch is pretty much in use from 8 o’clock in the morning until 10 o’clock every night… anytime you care to drive past the Leasing.com stadium, I could pretty much guarantee that something will be on the pitch.”
