Hungarian football has a famous legacy, their legendary footballers and football clubs changed the European and world game forever.
Fast forward to 2022 and as part of that spirit Hungary’s football clubs have undertaken a substantial period of renewal both on and off the pitch. New stadiums and training grounds have recently been completed to develop and promote Hungarian football into the future.
However, Hungary’s geographical position in Eastern Europe can lead to severe weather conditions. Heavy rainfall and sub-zero temperatures are common in winter which can lead to fixture disruption. This together with the need to protect and develop their playing surface led DVSC of Debrecen to Matchsaver Pitch Protection.
DVSC play in the top division of Hungarian football, their new stadium completed as part of this continuing redevelopment. Matchsaver were approached to provide an air roller pitch protection solution for the stadium pitch.
After close consultation a full set of Matchsaver permeable air roller covers were purchased and delivered to the club. The permeable covers will help protect the pitch from frost and help with germination going forward. The permeable air roller covers were delivered fully assembled and ready to be deployed and the results so far have been excellent.
